The curse that is "HurricaneDij's Reach Pick" is finally starting to break. Previous honorees of such distinction include Solomon Hill, Gary Harris, and Malik Beasley. Ick.

This year I stepped outside of my Pacers/Nuggets fandom and it is paying dividends in the early going.

Not only did Barnes make the game-winner the other night in Phoenix but he also recorded a career-high 15 rebounds in the Utah game. I'm sure he made his share of preparations during the offseason but I also think he's reaping the benefits of his relatively new role.

The East seems like it has more depth this year so far so we will see. I only see around 7 teams that definitely above SAC right now
