Harper Reported Will Sign With Phils $400 Mill

Saw a game in Philly a couple of summers ago with an old friend and was very impressed with the park.
Ended up booking a hotel in the Gayborhood without knowing anything about the area, we were a little confused at first but the location was excellent and there were great restaurants all around. I'm sure everyone assumed my friend and I were a gay couple, but so what...we are buddies going back to high school and try to meet up somewhere in the country once a year and drink a lot.

Also did the obligatory Liberty Bell/etc walkthrough, Geno's for lunch (got the whiz of course), art museum, and all kinds of bars. Hit the battleship in NJ on the way home.
Most prominent memory was viewing Dali's Soft Construction With Boiled Beans at the art museum, it just got into my head and I couldn't stop looking at it. Such a strange man, but some of his works are just incredible.

Definitely saw some of the famous Philly fan behavior, the visitor's bullpen was very accessible to the crowd and they were really giving it to a very chubby Brewers pitcher, probably Albers. Felt bad for him but still laughed...

Great trip! I like Philly.

The gays really know how to pick a spot. Haha. Great location. So many restaurants.

Beautiful park and the visitors pen is a great spot to see the Philly fans. A Red's pitcher wanted me to come down and fight him once, he got sent back down to the minors at the end of the series.

Herrera will be the best player on the team for a month. Good luck guessing which month. I hope it's October.

Seriously though I think in his head he'll think he's better than Harper and want to prove it. I see good things with all this talent around him.

Yep, I like Dusty's line-up the best but the question remains will dumbass Kaplan think along the same lines and actually keep it place if it is successful?

I think it can be switched depending on RHP/LHP, plus I personally prefer Hernandez up top and moving Cutch down.

Press conferences are just press conferences. Staged affairs for the most part. With that said....I was very impressed with what he said and how he said it. It really negates all the bullshit the last few months for me. Starts things off on quite the right foot.

When I looked a couple of days ago, Harper was at about .250/.400/.500.
Pretty much where he ended up last season and probably what the Phils have to take as his expected performance level at this point in his career.
I can't imagine Phils fans are going view this as acceptable and expect the boos to start before long if Bryce doesn't up the production.

I wonder if he has some kind of long-lasting/permanent issue from his slip off 1B in 2017....normally a guy would be peaking around 26-27 and he has been nowhere near his 2015 level.

As I said, I root for the guy and want to see him have a big year...

Bryce is 25 for 100. Just two more hits and he's at .280. That's why it's too early for thinking WTF.
