Harper fuels Cubs speculation spending New Year's Eve with Bryant

Would be awesome,but the article says Kris and Bryce grew up together.........maybe they were just pals hanging out for the night........

But then again,childhood pals playing on the same team together would been a dream come true to........

If Harper is playing in the NL Central, its more likely as a Cardinal. Cubs ownership refuses to spend above the luxury tax threshold. Without clearing a lot of salary, there's no room for even a short-term deal with Harper. My guess is he does sign with the Dodgers. LA won't go 10-years, but they've got money to pony up. I'd say its one of those 5-7 year deals with an opt out after 3.
