We lost Mom Sept 2017, just before the start of the season .. Mom was the biggest Eagles fan, and she loved Nick Foles because of that great year he had had the first time around with them ..

Leading up to her passing, she was in rehab, and while I never gave up hope, I think she knew of the inevitable .. A few days before we lost her, she was lying in the bed and we were talking about the upcoming season, doing my best to give her hope of returning home ( and I suppose myself too )..

She said of the Eagles "I'll see what I can do, and what strings I can pull" and then smiled ..

Five months later, Nick Foles leads the Eagles on that incredible run culminating with the SB win vs the Pats ..

Later that week, I was in a Mercedes parts dept talking NFL with one of the guys there - a huge Giants fan .. He said to me "What the heck got into Foles the past month ?"
