Quite comical in that big publications were reporting all of an hour ago that he kept his job for now…

Not a shocker. For some time it's been a question of when, not if.
The question was more about if we were going to cling to this Bears’ “tradition” of not firing head coaches mid season.

About fucking time
It’s almost poetic. Even our management can’t figure out time management when it comes to decision making. Top down for sure…

The only reason he is gone is Poles is trying to save his job now.

I dont like the Brown interim deal. I know the players react to him better in the locker room, but the dude was calling plays from the box, watching the entire field. I would really like to hear that someone else is going to call the offensive plays now. I mean, Washington will have to call the defense (finally), but these ideas that coaches can just handle offense AND head coaching decisions should be earned, not just given.

If we are getting ready for next year someone else should be elevated to OC, If everyone is gone when we hire our next mistake for a 5 year deal, I cant see why. Would have preferred to see Poles and Fluke fired on black monday.

You can't name a coach outside the organization to take over a team in midstream. That just doesn't happen. The only surprise I could see coming from the fans and pundits is if they wanted one of the other coaches to be named interim HC. Let the man finish the season, let's see what, if any changes takes place in these final five games. Short of running the table these final weeks, which is about as likely as one of us hitting the Powerball, there will be a new top dog come next year. In the meantime, Poles and co can start to evaluate what I'm guessing will be numerous candidates for the job.

Sometimes you bug the shit out of me.

A hair-covered turd would be an improvement over Eberflus. Who gives an actual fuck who it is at this point, or whether they call plays in the fucking booth or not? gtfoh with that stupid shit? There is no way in Hell any GM could've kept Eberflus after yesterday's shitshow, and the fact that said shitshow is now a pattern...a weekly contest in stupidity? I'd say Poles firing him has little to do with anything other than the fact that the guy is a steaming turd week in and week out and nobody could take another week of the stench.

Can we just enjoy that he was shitcanned for one day before you get right back to the bullshit? Goddamn dude. :tsk:

Not saying anything like the White Sux did with Sizemore, all I brought up was things were going better for the donned future of this franchise with the new play caller, and he admittedly wanted the view from the skies.

They could have named any one of the secondary coaches as interim and allow Williams to stay on this path of growth we all have been witnessing, up until the final 3 minutes of the last game.

right back atcha.

You want to develop a quarterback who has been working better with Brown, now you change how Brown watches the game and calls the plays. Sometimes things are so obvious that your haste to hate just blinds you.

Now Brown goes not get the HC job, so he leaves and here we go with Caleb and his third offensive coordinator in two years excuses start. I guess in a way its a head start on replacing every coach we have right now because Brown will not hang around for a new Head coach.
