Early Wynn had 5.5 seasons with the ChiSox, including his very productive 22-10 season in 1959. Of course, he had many great years with the Indians.

Jim Thome. He hit his 500th HR in a White Sox uni.

jim abbot? the guy was 87 - 108. i said really good players. not just anyone who'd ever played for the team for a cup of coffee.

i considered luzinski but he had his last 4 years with the team. i guess i didn't feel he met my criteria.

i considered him but thought he was too currently a member. was trying to bring back names most didn't know or remember.

Oh good deal. And nice call on Omar Vizquel. Forgot he played for the White Sox.

LOL - I admit you have a very comprehensive criteria. :)

The subject/title was all the criteria I had available. ;)

Jim Thome. He hit his 500th HR in a White Sox uni.

4 seasons with 134 HR's, a .933 OPS and one of the biggest HR's in the history of the organization is a little more than a cup of coffee, IMO. He was more of a White Sox than he was a Phillie (would never dispute that he's an Indian first, CLEARLY).

The White Sox have had a TON of great ball players stop by here when they're on their last legs. That's more what I think of with this thread. Thome hit the piss out of the ball for us. It's a travesty those teams didn't do more when he was here.

But, he only did steroids' during the Cubs part of this career.

Anyway - enjoy the topic and congrats for throwing this out there.

BTW, isn't kind of crazy that in the 2nd half of 09 the middle of our lineup was Konerko/Thome/Griffey Jr. 3-4-5?

Regardless of where Griffey was at in his career. Seeing that is sexy as hell. lol

The story of us signing Tom Seaver is f*cking hilarious for those that don't know it.
