That's a quality signing by the Bluenotes, in my opinion. In fact, I'm already putting the Blues in the playoffs.

I agree. However, picking the 8 teams to make the the playoffs from the West is going to be extremely difficult this year.

Ya, I think so, too. Once you get past the (regular season) heavies like SJ, Van, Chi, and Det there will be another 9 or so teams fighting for the other 4 slots. The East is pretty similar, too, Pitt, Wash, Phi and Bos should make the postseason, and then it's wide open.

that's not out of line at all. Makes you wonder what the issue in Mtl was?
have they just predetermined that the Price is right, come hell or high water?

He could have made 5 per easily on the open market (not saying he would necessarily deserve it, but you know that's what he'd get as a UFA after his playoff run), so this is a very quality signing by the Blues. They've got him locked up long enough to build a team around him, and if this year wasn't an anomaly, provide incentive for him to come back on a team-friendly deal in the prime of his career.

thats a great deal for the blues i think.. wish the flyers could've done something to get his rights, i think he's a very good goalie.. not gunna say i predicted him to be as good as he was, but i did pick the habs over the caps and he was my main reason.. got a bit of a goalie-crush on him
