Rounds 1 and 2 are in Brooklyn so I was going to try and go but tickets are going for $300 at minimum currently
I do not understand watching the 1st/2nd rounds in person if you have no connection to the teams. There's a pretty good chance you will be watching a terrible game while the rest of America is entranced with an instant classic.
And yes, they are expensive as hell. Most years, the national championship game is substantially cheaper than Round 1 because of geographic concerns (high seeds get put in nearby cities where they have huge fan bases) and more time to plan ahead.
I paid $200 for two not-terrible tickets to last year's title game. There have been years, like Anthony Davis' year, where tickets were selling for $10-20 the day of the final.
I would like to go if I could score some freebies, but otherwise I'm going to hit someplace like Brother Jimmy's for the early Thursday games, and then watch the rest from home.
A couple of jobs ago I scored some early-round games at MSG; didn't care much for the teams playing but had a blast. MOST of the students attending were fun and well-behaved.
I was working for Comcast Spectacor in Philly in 2009 when the Wells Fargo Center had first and 2nd round games that year. I was able to just walk right in with my work ID(I was working at the Spectrum before it was blown up) The games I was there for weren't that great; Uconn as a 1 seed blew their team out and the 8/9 BYU/A&M game wasn't very competitive, and I didn't stay for the night session. But it still was an awesome experience.
I'll be on Des Moines this year. First time it's been in Iowa in my life, Iowa should be at that pod and the games are 17th and 19th with my bday falling the 18th right in between. Going to be a great few days. Me and about 7 of my buddies are doing a guys trip. Can't wait
I've got Chicago lined up already ( buddy from Yale is a lawyer out there so free housing lol ). Louisville isn't bad either as far as distance but not sure yet. Hoping for ChicagoThat's awesome man. Iowa has their best season in decades and there so happens to be an Iowa pod. Talk about impeccable timing. Lol. If they advance any chance you'll go to Chicago or Louisville for the Regional? Grand scheme of things its not that far. Lol.

Yep. I like OU basketball anyway as another of my buddies is a HUGE Sooner fan. I'm bad luck for OU though so I'm going to try and not watch them much. They're 4-3 when I watch them and unbeaten when I don't lolLol. Nice. Gotta root for OU then, if they are a #1 seed they'll more than likely be in the Louisville regional. That would open the door for Iowa in Chi-town.

Pretty crazy they're $475. The same all session tix in Denver is $200.All session tix in Des Moines are like 475 or so. I'll probably just do that. Day 2 pass is only like 100 bucks less. I am more than happy to watch that much CBB LOL
