Man, rough game for the Canadiens last night...
Montreal radio station CKAC is reporting that Montreal Canadiens forwards Mike Cammalleri and Max Pacioretty could both miss at least a month of action with injuries sustained on Tuesday night.
The team confirmed after the game against the Buffalo Sabres that Cammalleri suffered a separated shoulder and was initially assessed as being out at least two weeks. The injury was reportedly sustained on a first-period cross-check from Buffalo defenceman Mike Weber.
The report said that Pacioretty broke a rib when he was hit by a shot from teammate James Wisniewski. Pacioretty was taken to hospital but was later able to travel home with the team. RDS is reporting that Pacioretty will miss two-to-four weeks.
The Canadiens also said after the game that forward Jeff Halpern has an upper-body injury. CKAC reported that he has an issue with his shoulder, but they did not report how long he might be out of action.
