Seeing Ramos get optioned yesterday and seeing Luciano struggle with some potentially chronic injuries got me thinking of past Giants prospect fails, and I thought of this kid. Quite possibly the most tragic Giants prospect story I remember.

The one-two punch of Cabrera and Villalona remind you that hitting on a prospect is HARD. Not only does the kid have to actually end up being good, but real life can often swoop in and spoil everything as well.
