Great book series that could be TV series

Shocked to see Cruise as the monstrous Jack Reacher. His size a constant mention in the novels (own all of them). That guy who played Aquaman, that would work. Hell, Bautista.

There are like 20 books each of Travis McGee and Jack Reacher characters (different authors). And they do follow a sequence of sorts. Long plots, easily worth 200+ episodes each for a TV series.

Travis McGee, writer John MacDonald, books are set written in the 1950-80s. One of the best American writers to grace readers.

Baldacci books are very entertaining. Good for TV series, for sure.

The series I’m reading right now, the Will Robie series is pretty good but think that the Camel Club series is what he’s best known for. So would be interested in seeing either one on the small screen.

MacDonald’s McGee is probably the precursor to all of these book thrillers. Prey is too gruesome, agree. I think they made a movie or 2 of those.

I've never seen one. I did see the one Lincoln Rhyme, the one with Denzel but that's Deaver, not Sandford.

I've seen a couple from Lawrence Block with Matthew Scudder. One had Liam Neeson and an early one had Jeff Bridges.

And I've seen two Dave Robicheauxs (James Lee Burke), Heaven's Prisoners (Alec Baldwin) and Electric Mist and Confederate Dead (Tommy Lee Jones).

I've watched the Bosch series and I don't like the guy who plays Bosch (Welliver), although he was great in Deadwood as the bagman from Yankton...

I never really liked the guys who played Inspector Rebus either. Although that's a Brit show.

Really tough to nail a book main character for film/TV perfectly.

Mitch Rapp, by Vince Flynn. They did a movie a few years ago that was poorly done, but I think you could easily do an excellent 6-7 season series.
