and this really is the worst penalty in cup playoff history. not just finals but playoffs....sure maybe there are some stupid penalties in game 4's when its 3-0 in the opening round. but fucking cup on the line game 6 coming back from 3-0 this is the worst penalty ever in the history of the nhl

he deserved 2 at the most for that hit... he's become a huge goat for the series but up untill that hit he was one of the players who came to play everyday

same for buckner. no one remembers (i was too young) but he was a tremendous player for the sox. no one remembers that. right or wrong i dont know


if there was no blood he wouldve got the 2min. but with blood it was a lock for 5. nhl should tweak the rule like it is with a highstick. 2min no blood. 4min blood no intent. 5min major for a vicious smack. same with boarding

Missing the point entirely, there should have been no penalty because if the penalty on Gionta was properly called there would hav ebeen no Bernier penalty....still a stupid play though
