And then there's James Ihedigbo! After tons of skepticism about the guy, he proved to be a nice fit to the defense. What's his grade?
Use the grading scale I've provided below and from there, I will get the average score for each player after a day or two.

Rank 1-10 with 10 being the highest. Include percentages (.1.2.3.4.5) if you believe player is between certain levels.

1- Bad player. Should not be on a NFL roster.
2- Tackling dummy or jock carrier.
3- Nothing more than a practice squad player.
4- Low level backup player.
5- Quality backup or role player with no starting potential.
6- Starter but easily upgradeable.
7- Mid level starter, with potential as a high level starter.
8- High level starter, with All-Pro potential.
9- Consistent All-Pro player.
10- Potential Hall of Fame player.

7.8. Missed a few key tackles this season but overall very solid against the run and pass this season.

I'm right there with Thndr. 'Digs was really damn good this year, contributing 7 turnovers, 2 sacks, and a strong presence against the run while also being solid in coverage.

Imo he's a high end "mid-level" starter slash low end "high-level" starter.

7.7 He still misses his assignment at times, but is very solid in this defense. Played better against the pass then I expected. His biggest issues are from the neck up but I expect that to improve this year. Liking our safeties very much.

7.0 What he provides as an in the box safety was monumental, blitz, solid against the run, but damn it, I just can't get past his game level awareness vs the pass in those last 2 games (GB and Dal). He was exposed badly, IMO. As the season progressed I saw his coverage skills diminish over the last 4-5 games compared to early on in the season.

I'd like to see them bring back AIQ and draft another SS somewhere on day 3.

He was a 6.9 some games and a 7.9 other games. So if my math is right??? A 7.4 is my grade.

I am having a hard time with some of the defensive guys. Not sure it was them or Austin putting his guys in position to excel and schemed to their talent levels?

He's poor in coverage. Made some interceptions that were given to him, sure. But he's not strong when responsible for a player in coverage. He can hit though.

Same grade I gave Pettigrew, in case anyone thinks Im being a hater.

Haters gonna hate. A team that had a first round exit can not be all 7 to 8's

Two very very successful years in a row. Digs wasn't perfect, but despite not having more tackles than two years ago, I think he performed even better than his best statistical year in '13.

I had a great feeling about him heading into the season when many were already writing him off. He proved those feelings right. He's just another important piece on D we will have even if we lose Suh. The cupboard definitely won't be bare.

Why not?

Per the scale, 7 is a mid-level starter...

Because this is why there is a draft every year. To replace depleted talent. Not really sure there is a team in the league that can say they have a solid 7 or higher player all over. I can see maybe 15 tops of 22 starters.

TP if you call Dom and Sims a 7 or higher had they still been in the Lions equation this year. No reason to even discuss any further.

When you said they "can not all be" I thought you were being more general than literaly all of them. I thought you were talking about the general group. I think we're mostly 7's right now. Some definitely need to be replaced. You referenced Sims and Raiola as prime examples. Guys like Ross and Vaughn could pretty easily lose out to rookies this summer as well...
