From the DumDumville Board - a response to NN in one of the Barry Bonds/Steroids threads (I have to admit that I had to look some of these terms up)

But for every smart wealthy person, I can name a few dumb wealthy people. Anyone working in the valley during the 90's can attest to that. As for Bonds, my hypothetical government doesn't involve itself in private matters (it's coasian, if that means anything to you). And in situations where the surrounding contextual climate is so fundamentally misguided, a decisive Prise de Fer is sometimes needed (and inevitable).

I thought I'd throw a little chum in the water for trueniners. I'll predict right now he'll be writing of jury intimidation in the not too distant future. And the more I read of NN's take on the whole Bonds affair the less is my estimate of his social/political sophistication. Certainly calls into question his self-reported background as a political consultant.

NN says he was a political consultant? I must have missed that thread (I only open about 40% of all threads over there as it is at this point).

That does not make sense. One would assume that a political consultant from either side of the aisle would understand the concept of Innocent until Proven guilty. You also would think he would have some semblance of understanding of how to conduct himself with other people.

NN claims to be a senior, but I am not sure that I believe that. He portrays none of the attributes one would associate with an elder.

Interesting observation. I'm not sure what the attributes of an elder are but NN and myself seem to share little if any that I would consider to be ''in common' and being 65 years young, I would consider myself an elder.

I've lurked on the ESPN boards for quite a few years just didn't bother responding tom many of the threads. Most of them seemed to be started by people who were attention whores (love that coinage). NN is no different. The majority of his posts are in fact replies that are intended to inflame one poster or another. His primary goal seems to be to 'get a response'. His posts have little if anything worthwhile contributing to most discussions.

Aa an elder I've tended to mellow on many of the beliefs that I held as a youth. Life is really too short to spend time defending or attacking things that have little or no effect on the 'richness'of your life.

At this stage of the game I am just happy that I was able to see and appreciate an athlete with the skills and talents that Bonds possessed.

SF, you're a seasoned vet among Giants fans. I enjoy your stories of your Giants experiences. I consider you an elder, a title of respect.

NN is simply an ass. I just consider him .. older.

Yes. He claimed to have been a political consultant in Washington DC. But, yeah, just can't see it. He's coming off as generally dumb, not just dumb about baseball.

My guess is his "political consulting" was trying to get his daughter elected to be 5th grade class president.

This. He's such a fucking annoying, whiny, negative sack of douche. Most of ESPN's boards are filled with attention whores. It's as if they get none offline so they try to make up for it viturally. Cazic, TitoMac, TrueNiners/Tommy...etc, etc, etc.

While I think its hilaruous after reading the thread over at ESPN, I readily admit I don't understand all of it. I always kind of think of the bar scene in the movie Good Will Hunting....."My boy gp is wicked smaht".

Oh, Nolan is an old fogy all right. Hates 'gangstas' i.e. young black people, always idolizing old Giants and denigrating new ones....accusing total studs like Timmy of being 'lazy' (like in his day he'd break ice with his bare hands or some shit).

He's classic old school crusty white insecure dumbass.
