What's that got to do with MENTAL toughness?
If you're mentally tough, you can invoke bionic man powers and overcome any physical obstacle. If you're not, you can't. Cmon, everyone knows that!

the dude is a mountain of a man and he has the effective strength of a little girl, he simply isnt using what God gave him because he doesnt have it between the ears.

let's hear your explanation for why a 6'6 320lb man can be beat by a bull rushed consistently

You've got to be naïve if you don't think mental toughness means something regardless of your size... Focus...

Do you ever bring anything reasonable to the table? You just argue just for the sake of arguing it seems... This is why I rarely respond to you... Not much respect for the way you post...

True naivete is assuming we can know things about the inner workings of a person (or locker room full of people) we've never met.

There are plenty of lineman in the league who aren't functionally strong enough to overpower their opponent, and they have to do it with technique instead. Granted, most of them tend to be undersized, but all of them aren't.

What? You mean you expect him to offer a real opinion that might end up being wrong? No, no he will stay a peanut gallery sniper.

Seriously? Have you met the Hoop?

What was unreasonable about my question btw? I asked what you based your assertion that he wasn't mentally tough on. I didn't call you names, or belittle you.

I DID say something snarky to Mr. Snarkypants. What's that line about treating others the way you want to be treated?

What inquiring minds, (who bring stuff to the table) want to know is what you're BASING your argument that he's not mentally tough on? We all agree that there ARE mentally soft people in the world.

What I'd like to know is why Pocic belongs on that list?

So because I think lack of mental toughness isn't the only possible reason for Pocic struggling means I think mental toughness doesn't mean anything at all? You remember what I did for a living for 25 years, right? Classic false dilemma.

He stays up too late playing online poker?

That saps functional strength?

Or is it more logical and likely that he doesnt like contact or the game of football?

Waitwut? Oh, you told me to just snipe away, so I didn't reply seriously, since apparently I never bring anything to the table anyway.

Maybe you could use a * or something when you want sincerity?

But online poker would be about as good a reason as 'mental weakness.' Whatever the fuck that means.

I imagine you could tell endless stories about it being the guys you'd least expect who end up being mentally tough.

A quarter century on active duty. Yeah, I have lots of stories and human examples about nearly anything.

On the Pocic situation...I'll give him a pass for the main reason he's young and had Tom Cable coaching him. Cable's out and in comes Solari with a fresh scheme and ideas so maybe it's taken him a little longer to get himself situated under Solari. I be interested on how Pocic does with another year of ota's/camp and preseason under Solari.

Other players also had cable coaching them, like hunt, but don't have that huge strength deficit that pocic does.

This is from a draft scouting report on him:

He needs to improve his strength and leverage as when he does have problems pass blocking it it is the result of getting overpowered by the bull rush
