Disappointing. With Tech sucking so hard, 75% of our games will hit the noon slot and I'll miss these games.

I do think it’s a smart move to own this time slot as a network offering the best game every week, but sure does suck as a fan.

I'll still be watching mostly on CBS, whether it is a morning, afternoon or early evening game. Occasionally ABC/ESPN/SEC Network.

From a viewer standpoint I love it. From a tailgating standpoint I hate it. If Fox puts a game like Michigan Penn State at noon, I would be pretty bummed to not have more time to tailgate.

It's your own fault if you choose not to step up your 7am drinking game. How you gonna drink all day if you don't start early?

What do you mean? We usually get to the tailgate spot between 7-8am and do start drinking. But for a noon game that means you have roughly 4 hours to tailgate. For 3:30 games you have like 7 hours and you get to plan for lunch. There's also not the same rush to get there exactly at 7am to set up because there's more time.

You could always start drinking on Thursday. That works for me most of the time.

I like day games. I hope all of Iowa State's home games are day games.

When I went all the time, I loved Noon games.

Had to leave the house around 6am to get there by 10am. But the game was over and I was on my way
back no later thn 4:30pm. I never had to stay overnight, and would get back home around 830pm.

It's actually not "the best game every week".

Fox doesn't get first pick every week. Fox got 'first pick of the season' and they chose Ohio St/Michigan. No brainer there.

First pick 'each week' will trade off between Fox, and ESPN

"Fox gets the first pick each year, and — no surprise — the network has selected Ohio State-Michigan in 2017. Fox also gets the conference championship game.
Asked whether Fox would get the first pick each week, Fox executive Larry Jones said no but joked: "That's a good idea."
To which ESPN's Burke Magnus replied: "That will be in Year 7 of the six-year deal."
Big Ten announces six-year deal with ESPN, Fox Sports worth $2.64 billion

What you can be sure of is that it'll be a better game than what BTN is carrying at the same time slot and a better game than Beth Mowins will be calling on espn2 in that time slot.

I like the move.

I will go opposite of what some posters on here are saying,

I love early kickoffs. When I lived in Nevada, I could go to the Sportsbook at 8 AM and watch football early and bet on football. Saturdays and Sundays were awesome in Nevada. By 8 PM nevada time, I would had my booze and my hotdogs, Watched a LOT of football, had interest in a lot of games, and be quite happy.

But then, I am a morning guy.

On the positive side, when we have night games or 3:30 games it means we'll have some good games to watch at noon at the tailgate.

You misread what I wrote. I’m saying it’s going to create the best game available at the noon time slot every week. It will have the “prime time” noon game to tune into. I wasn’t saying FOX will always have the best game every week.

They also get Big 12 games, too, right? So, at noon there is always going to be either the best or the second best B1G or Big 12 game of that week. So, it should be pretty rare that there isn't a good national broadcasts noon matchup.

I heard one of the best comments about this from a native Midwesterner. He feels exactly like you do. Regarding games later in the fall in the Midwest his statement was, "I don't care how warm it is on a fall Saturday night in the Midwest...it is still colder than it is on a fall Saturday afternoon!"

I love this. I get so tired of those seasons when we have like four 8:00 games. Shit gets old. I think it was 2017, we had three 8:00 games in a four week span. I love noon games.

I’m down for my team to have 11 3:30 games and 1 night game. Losing the noon game to deflate moral through the rest of the day.
