teams with RBBC can have good running games without 1000 yd rushers.
One team in particular (Patriots) had close to the fewest 1,000 yard rushers but had the most Superbowl wins.
Another team, (Rams) led the NFC in offense but scored only 3 points in Superbowl......

Todd Gurley was a 1000 yard rusher. Poor Patriots did not have a 1,000 yard rusher but RBBC

Gurley is still a free agent, he might just be done in this league.

Lions finally have the makings for a good ground game. Something they lacked since Barry. Oline could be great and they have 2 backs that are good.

They should have tried that once when they had Stafford.

RBBC is more of last five years thing. Some teams have rbbc because no one stands out, too
yeah. there arent a lot of three down backs out there.
If you dont have one of those, you will go to a RBBC.
Not having a 1000 yd rusher doesnt mean you dont have a good running game.
Saints, Cards, & even the Ravens (if talking RBs) didnt have 1000 yd rushers & all top ten in rushing.
Cards didnt have anyone stand out, but the Saints have kamara & the Ravens has Dobbins.

A. Green accounts for half (6 of 12) for Packers. Grant (2), Lacy (2) and A. Jones (2) make up the rest.

Packers only top ten rushing offense 5 times over the same period.
- 1 time with A. Green (2003 #3... twice close #11 and #12)
- 3 times with Eddie Lacy (#7, #10, #8 2013-2015)
- 1 time with A. Jones/Williams (#8 2020)

Number of 1k rushers dropping.. running back by committee more popular and passing game taking more precedence.
- Avg number of 1k rushers 2000-2010: 17.1
- Avg number of 1k rushers 2011-2020: 11.9

Adrian Peterson 7 times
Dalvin Cook 2 times
Chester Taylor
Michael Bennett
Robert Smith

I feel like I am missing one, but that would be 12.

How many dudes have career highs in rushing yards, rushing TDs, receiving yards, receiving TDs and total touches and just up and retire?

I know Robert Smith did. But I’m at a loss on anyone else in that club.

It will get there. Outside of Decker they are all under 25. I think they are above average thise year, and grow into elite in a couple of years.
Very confident we add a very talented guard, very soon.

Robert is a bit of a wild card. He dealt with some tough injuries early in his career, got labeled "injury prone" despite being very durable in the back half of his career. Even his doctor was surprised that he retired.

Round up, I don't think he ever really loved professional football. He's a college guy through and through and he felt that he didn't want to take that kind of pounding anymore.

Ricky Williams had a great season a year or two before he decided to "retire". I think Jim Brown went out after a great season. But definitely not a long list.
