Typical Bettman saying it was the city of Glendale that pulled out of the Hulsizer deal, not the NHL. It's never your fault, is it Gary?!?

Maybe they should save themselves 25 or 50 or 75 million and end this experiment. Oh well the economy is great everywhere but Arizona especially - I am sure they can afford to write those checks every year.

If I were a resident of Glendale, I would be awfully pissed about that last $25 mill.

I like how Hulseizer waited until the turnkey market of WPG was spoken for until he said to the Coyotes... "nah, never mind. I'm out"
and now he's sniffing around St Louis? makes you long for the days of the pre-sale Hamilton tickets from Balsilie.

Depends on the city. The Kings have been in LA for over 40 years. It snows in Atlanta now and then. I understand Bettman trying to increase the popularity of the NHL, but putting teams where there really isn't a big interest defeats the purpose.
