dude is a major head case

49ers MLB Reuben Foster was arrested Sunday morning in Santa Clara (CA) on charges "related to domestic violence," and for possessing an assault rifle.

He's being held on $75,000 bail, $50,000 for domestic violence and $25,000 for the assault weapon. It's Foster's second arrest in the last month; he was popped for marijuana possession in Alabama on January 12. Foster also failed a drug test at the 2017 Combine and was kicked out of the Combine after an altercation with a hospital employee. When healthy, Foster proved a difference-making run defender as a rookie. He now risks missing significant time due to a string of off-field incidents.

His behavior is well known and documented. I was a really big fan of his game...but I agree, major red flags. Good move to pass on him.

Skins would have drafted him had they not been working off of SM draft board...

supposedly 1 pick was not on SM draft board... my guess is Ryan Anderson, since he will be irrelevant in this league until his rookie contract is up.

"Assault weapon" does not necessarily mean fully automatic. A person can own a full auto gun if it was manufactured before 1986 (they're VERY expensive and hard to get even if you have the money). OTOH, a person cannot own a full auto gun manufactured after May of 86 without a special license that's tough to get.

The overwhelming majority of AWs you hear about in the media are semiautomatic. Usually, when the term assault weapon or assault rifle is used by the media, they mean "military looking" semi automoatic rifle.

It isn’t that difficult to get one. 1 thousand dollars and giving the ATF the right to enter your house without permission will do it.

An assault rifle is any rifle with two or more specific attachments.

Eh, easy is a relative term. If it was easy to get one, most of the people I know would have one, LOL.

Willing to relinquish freedom

Willing to give up the illusion of freedom we have in this country would be a more accurate statement.

There are many illusions. The right of the government not to come into your home for no reason isn’t an illusion...it is an actual right.

The Illusion on that one is, they need to have a reason before they enter. Its probably they will enter without your permission, cause they feel like it. :thumb:

They feel like it is fine with an ATF stamp. Like I said, you are giving up your freedom.
