No more than Heath Shuler and countless others. This will be his 6th season, and his 4th team. At some point you will need to understand that he is what he is.

Oh I do understand. The same way Daniel Jones and Sam Darnold were who they were and Mac Jones.

I am not saying Trey Lance is any good. I am saying, if we need to rely on a backup QB, we may as well just talk and get Jeremiah Smith.

This totally changes my thoughts on the draft. I really wanted one of the defensive players, I felt Love, while being one of the best players in the draft, was a luxury pick they could not afford. I surely didn't want Tate at 7.

But now that the holes are filled I'm on board with Love, now it looks like he'll be gone, Not a fan of Tate at 7, no way is he worthy of the 7th pick even in this weak draft. But the cap has to be considered. The best way to acquire an impact receiver is through the draft, free agency is very expensive for this position. Safeties and backs are far cheaper. So I can actually see Tate at 7 although not my preference.

I would rather trade down because Tyson is every bit as good.

Those QBs at least showed something. Both of the Jones had their teams thinking they had their franchise QB at one point in time. None of these guys were ever as bad as Trey Lance. And again this will be his 6th season.
