Cousins
Minshew
Geno
Purdy

Might be overthinking it but just wanted to get some other takes. I'm a favorable lean towards Cousins, but the pause is Cousins does have a tendency to shit the bed. He faces the Giants this week and their defense is solid. Minshew has filled in and done well before, but Dallas is stout even with all the weapons Minshew will have available. Geno has been solid, but a lot of his weapons are banged up. Purdy has a safe floor but his ceiling is basically his floor.

Geno and Cousins scored around the same.

Cousins has the Giants, Packers and Bears left.
Smith has the Chiefs, Jets and Rams left.

I would lean Cousins. Minshew is interesting though...

Cousins should get you 18-24 floor weekly, with what he has left on the schedule. Minshew's a different kind of guy and I wouldn't have faith he can run as productive an offense, at least at first.

Assuming you are in a 17 week schedule league and in the playoff - you are playing week to week. Go with the guy who has the best matchup (Geno) then hope for a Hurts return next. If you fail to win this week there is no tomorrow. ....
BTW - I'm honestly very surprised those guys are available - must be a 10 (or less) team league.

The Stash ain't a bad NFL QB, but even when he was winning NFL games, he wasn't exactly a strong fantasy asset.

I'd go with Cousins. Whatever fairy dust that was sprinkled on Geno is beginning to lose its potency. 3 straight weeks of diminished returns. And missing Lockett for at least this coming week? That loss cannot be overstated. That's gonna be a huge dent in what Geno can do.

Agree totally with this. I wouldn't trust Geno without Lockett.

Minshew....he has a lot of weapons.

But he plays Dallas.

Philly is a lock to have a super run heavy game plan this week.

Has to be Cousins.

Giants D really isn’t that good. Minnesota going to score some points.

The Giants are 30th in run ypg allowed, Cook is going to be fed the ball.

That is really over simplistic.

The Giants defense is actually pretty bad. They are near the bottom of the league in EPA both against the run and the pass. Teams have their pick in how they want to attack.

The Vikings have been a pass first offense all season in part because Cook has been pretty mediocre in terms of efficiency.

They will pass plenty for Cousins to have a good fantasy day.

The Giants defense is 16th against the pass.

Much better than against the run.

You are basing that on yards.

That is not a good measure.

Efficiency stats show that the Giants are equally bad against the pass.

The are 30th in coverage grades and 26th in EPA per dropback.

That is bottom tier.

The Giants appear to be worse against the run because they have played against many run first opponents.

Commanders and Cowboys twice, Titans, Bears, Panthers, Texans, Packers, Lions etc.

In fact, there isn’t a single heavily pass first team on their schedule all year long. Everyone they have played is either pretty balanced or run first.

Cousins will be fine.

You are making my case for me though.

That is about as soft a QB schedule as you can get.

Played Hurts once and he went off. LJ, Dak, Lawrence, Geno, Rodgers all had solid games over 20.

They played Fields before he broke out.

Everyone else on that schedule sucks. And some of them have still had solid fantasy games.

The Giants pass defense is not one you need to avoid.

The only thing I'd be worried about with Cousins playing the Giants is D. Cook/Mattison scoring all the TD's after JJ/Hock do all the work to get em inside the 5

And that could be said for virtually any team vs virtually any other team

So he's still the only logical choice. And if Geno or whomever happens to score 1 point more, you still wpuldve made the correct call. The right choice doesn't always guarantee success, and choosing the wrong choice, that just happens to pan out, isn't a stroke of genius. That's where 'luck' factors in. Go ahead and bet on luck, Vegas was built on those suckers
