Giroux's hit on Bergy

At first I thought the hit was late and dirty, but after watching it over and over again on you tube, the hit was clean, meaning it doesn't look like he targeted his head, and was delivered within 1 second of Bergy passing the puck. His head bounces off the ice and I'm guessing that's what caused the concussion.

He hit him within 1 second after Bergy passed the puck. I'm pretty sure that's allowed when finishing a check. You tube it and count how long.

One second of hockey feels like so much longer. You can't take that hit out of the game. Maybe a smidgeon late, but that's hockey.

Yup, skated this morning. about the hit. I counted 1 second after Bergy passes the puck. Hits in that time frame happen multiple times in every game. I've seen Bruins players do the same. Chara's hit on Max Pacioretty was later than Giroux's hit on Bergy.

Way later hits happen about 30 times a game. This hit was legit. Oh and it's the playoffs though the refs don't really know that yet.

I have no issue with the hit OTHER than it was meaningless. I do not think it was dirty but I fell like at that point of the game players should have enough respect for each other that this would not happen.

Conclusion: The Bruins lose there most consistent 2 way player.

Like I said it was not dirty. Perhaps a bit high but as you said its hockey. We will miss Bergy but good teams need to get through it.
