2) Dallas Cowboys

Dallas could finish anywhere from first to fourth in the NFC East, but I ultimately think the Cowboys will take step back. Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott will need to duplicate their amazing performances as rookies last year -- that's a tall order. The schedule will be tougher, with seven games against playoff teams on the slate. Crucially, the juggernaut of an offensive line lost Doug Free and Ronald Leary, meaning some shuffling of pieces will be necessary. An eight-game stretch in which Dallas faces the Chiefs, Falcons, Raiders and Seahawks will determine whether the Cowboys can repeat.

Biggest threat in the NFC East: All three teams pose a challenge, but I think Washington will knock off the Cowboys in 2017. The Redskins really helped themselves on defense, both in free agency and the draft.

I have been kind of expecting Prescott to take a step back and have a soph slump. But he is in such a great situation any decent QB can be effective.

I'm guessing that there's no positive answer to the basic question i.e., have we done enough barring injuries and a bit of luck to leapfrog both the Giants and Dallas and simultaneously holding off any upward movement by the Eagles?

Of course it's all speculation, but honestly, so are most of the threads here and quite frankly, at least 60% of what generated this site.

Seems every team in the NFC East helped themselves in the draft. At least on paper. Looking forward to how it all plays out come this September.

The Giants and Dallas Cowboys (who added a crucial piece in rookie running back Ezekiel Elliott) should both press Washington. New York has an excellent QB-WR combo in Eli Manning and Odell Beckham Jr., and the defensive spending spree (with the additions of pass rusher Olivier Vernon, defensive lineman Damon Harrisonand corner Janoris Jenkins) will pay dividends, while rookie corner Eli Apple should contribute. Still, I'm confident Washington will outlast everyone

Than I read this^^^^^^
