That's pretty lame. Really wish Dallas was in on him. Any financials?

$9M per year? Wow. Too much for a one tech:

Giants land Damon Harrison

Defensive tackle Damon Harrison will still be playing his home games at MetLife Stadium in 2016, but he’ll be using a different locker room before and after those contests.

The Giants were reportedly hot on his trail during the “legal tampering” window that allowed teams to talk to prospective free agents and, per multiple reports, they’ve agreed to a deal with him shortly before the start of the new league year. Reports put the value of the deal in the neighborhood of $9 million per year.

Harrison will join Jonathan Hankins to give the Giants a pair of oversized tackles in the middle of their defensive line in hopes of stopping opposing offenses from running over them again this season.

It’s the third defensive player the Giants have agreed to ahead of the official start of free agency with Harrison joining defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul and cornerbackJanoris Jenkins, who landed a massive deal to leave the Rams for life in Jersey. Given the state of the Giants defense and the need for General Manager Jerry Reese to put together a winning team after he was spared the axe that fell on Tom Coughlin’s neck, it wouldn’t be surprising if there are more moves to come.

yes, I don't recall many teams in the salary cap Era winning the super bowl after spending the most money on FA. the skids and eagles are perfect example. yes I like jenkins but not at 62 million. the Giants have the most overrated qb this century.

Maybe they try to lure Fitz away from the Jets?? I cant think of why Elway would want Crapernick, but who knows?

I liked Jenkins but not at that money the Gmen will be looking at him like we look at Carr steady but not worth what we are paying him

I can't believe he left that defense. Even if there is a piece or 2 missing.

Fully healthy, I think we can all agree the Giants were the worst team in the division heading into next season. They had to make these moves.

Agree. They are loading up on D.
Vernon has a great motor and very good pass rush. I didn't want him in this division. Oh well.

He's not the first average QB to get a bad contract and won't be the last(might not even be the last of this offseason). Teams overpaying for players at a premium position is nothing out of the ordinary.
