Source: Giants change name of ballpark to Oracle Park
I saw that on the news this morning and had to make sure it wasn't April 1st. Gonna take some getting used to, but it's not like we haven't been through this a few times already.
...SBC, PacBell... We'll get over it and remember to call in Oracle by roughly 2038 when they change it again
I still instinctively call it PacBell.
I am kinda worried about the new scoreboard. How will it affect the view?
Yeah! Isn't it supposed to be like, THEEE biggest one?! It seems like the existing one is kind of a POS. Always outages & sech.
I have heard that it is supposed to bigger than the one at AT&T Stadium.
Doesn't that one go from 20 yard line to 20 yard line?
Heard this, have never agreed with companies having naming rights for stadiums. To me stadiums should be named for famous figures in the city's history.
In a perfect, kumbaya world, sure.
But dangle 300M and fuck kumbaya.
I don't know who Hubert H. Humphrey is.
The Giants transcend team boards. You need to stop and recognize.
He was a former democrat from Minnesota. He once ran for President in '68 against Nixon and was crushed.
I recognize a bunch of LOSERS on a message board being losers!
1968? Musta been a pinko fag hippie.
Well, he did say “democrat”, so...
Relax! We're barely even on the edge of your lawn, old man.
