That stinks... This has defined his career so far - injuries...
Kikuchi is the worst pitcher out of our starting rotation... Not sure what the team sees in him by making him a #2...
Im gonna go ahead and lock in 78-84, im somewhere between 75-80 wins so ill split the difference. The moves made this offseason dont signal W/L being the ultimate barometer so I wont treat it that way. 75 wins and guys like White, Kelenic, Sheffield, Crawford making strides would be a successful season for me imoOk, Day 1. What are your expectations for the season right now?
The young kids showed some promise in the short season, so I want to see that extended out into a real year. Slumps will happen, but overall, I want to see most of the future (Lewis, White, Sheffield, Dunn) look like above average major leaguers, and hopefully a standout or two among the Ty Frances and Taylor Trammells of the team.
I want to see good aggressive baseball. Steal bases, go 1st to 3rd, stretch doubles, and maybe start a fight or two. Show some grit for once.
I think what's best is that Hanniger looks like an MVP candidate and we get a haul for the guy at the deadline, even though I wish he could be a part of the team in the future.
In the end, I think this is a 3rd place team, within 10 games of .500, with some more of the future showing up to continue to look good in the 2nd half of the year, and if that happens while the intangibles look promising, this season will be a success. Right now more is icing on the cake.
Go M's! They go wire to wire starting today. 118 wins and sweep the world series.
That's my prediction because if I get that right then I'll look like a badass, and if I get it wrong nobody cares.
I don’t know how many first pitch fastball’s right down the middle of the plate I need to watch tonight with the Ms offense. They keep taking those pitches...I’m expecting a struggle early. Tonight isn’t super surprising other then Marco looking bad. But yeah April will probably be a rough month
