Some Giants trainers attended to Brian's BP session

Looks like the original beard could be back.

I suspect this is more along the line of "kicking the tires".

The real story would have been if the Giants did NOT send a rep to his showcase. Weren't the G's over-seeing his rehab even though he was not under contract?

Could be

But the Giants bullpen has been depleted by injuries and they could use a decent set up man. If Brian can somehow be effective this could work. I don't see Wilson being too expensive right now so it could be a no risk high reward move that Sabean loves so much.

I doubt Weez would take a team-friendly contract from the Gs. He seemed pretty bent about not getting tendered.

Right now he doesn't have much of an option.

He should be worried about getting on the field again and looking good if he wants to continue his career as a player.

But who knows, probably there's another couple of teams willing to give him a chance too

The "showcase" hasn't happened yet.

And yes, it was reported in the SJMerc that the Giants have been offering (and providing) any rehab help that Wilson wanted ("he was a Giant and we look after our own" was the sort of quote provided).

The bullpen catcher has been catching Wilson at USF this week, and Righetti was there yesterday.
