Haters gonna hate.
I wish Oklahoma could have played Nebraska and Texas only 1/3rd of the time.
Imagine all the the National Championships.
I really can't remember many times when Oklahoma and Nebraska were good at the same time.

That's because you didn't even follow CFB until Alabama got good.

It's okay buddy. I know Oklahoma has a losing record in bowls since 2003, but with 4 bowl wins in a row, you'll be right there again. And if you win 5 straight and Bama loses 5 straight, you'll be all tied up for that time period. Keep your chin up.That's because you didn't even follow CFB until Alabama got good.
The entire 70's and 80's. In fact the Game of the Century was played between Nebraska and Oklahoma.Ok, please name the years where Nebraska and Oklahoma were both at the top and/or Nebraska prevented Oklahoma from a National Championship.
I can not remember them. Texas - sure. Nebraska? No. Texas and Nebraska? Yes. Oklahoma and Nebraska? No.

I'm 54 years old and I've been watching college football since I first learned to ride a bike. Back then ABC was about the only game in town as far as networks airing college games. The games the entire country was forced to watch back then was: Michigan vs Ohio St., Nebraska vs OU, Texas vs OU, ND vs USC, Pitt vs Penn St. and UCLA vs USC. I can't recall a NU vs OU game back then when both teams weren't ranked.1 game?
I did not say they were bad teams - I said they were rarely good at the same time where Nebraska was taking National Championships away from Oklahoma.

The point being made is that other conferences don't avoid playing their own conference members. The SEC and ACC are conferences in name only.Ranked games aren't such a big deal. The original claim was Oklahoma would have 10 more national championships if it didn't have to play Nebraska and Texas.
As far as playing Nebraska goes, I couldn't remember any. And you were able to show the 1, which was before I was born but none-the-less is the only legit one I see now after looking it up.
And the entire reason it even triggered for me to think such in the first place is because Oklahoma holds the record for conference championships in college football, so it's not been their own conference members stopping them most often(although polls are a bitch and a single loss can ruin a season - don't even remember that).
