Done with the short track series, back to the Superspeedway with the Geico 500, Sunday at 1:00pm Eastern at Talledega. Should be interesting as usual.

Pretty big wreck last night in the ARCA race that sent a stuck-throttle car to the inside wall similar to the Kyle Busch wreck at Daytona. I thought for sure the driver, Smith, was a dead man because it was a near head-on crash driver's side first but Smith limped away from the accident.

Not that it usually matters where anyone starts at Talladega but here is the starting grid nonetheless.

Rough season for Roush racing continues. All 3 cars involved in the first big one. Bayne is done, Biffle will be behind the wall. Only saw Stenhouse spinning, not sure how much damage he has.

Might be a sign of a turn around for Smoke. Big wreck in front of him and he managed to miss it.

It would be nice to see Gordon win today.

It would be nice to see him lead the whole race and then get wreck in turn 4 on the last lap. I like it a lot when he gets his hopes up only to have them come crashing down.

Gordon has looked good so far.

It's Talladega. Harvick already has 2 wins and is in the Chase, so I'm hoping Smoke can get the win today, and if not, I just hope it's a driver who either hasn't ever won or hasn't won in a while.

But of course if Harvick wins, I'll be very happy as well.

Damn, thought Harvick got through unscathed. Should be able to stay on the lead lap and keep up with the draft though.

After the big one early, there are alot of cars with taped front and rear ends. Harvick is in the top five. My boy Almirola got collected but is hanging around 12-15.

Junior leading and Harvick with his taped up nose is fifth. We are getting down to it now with 60+ laps remaining.
