GDT: Happy Holidays - Canucks host Flames

Flames are playing a back-to-back after a good win in Calgary last night vs Detroit. The Canucks players have been carted around to malls and parties and a vast 'honey-do' list the past couple of days. If only one team shows up it could be over early.

Wouldn't be surprised if the Flames start Irving tonight.

I don't know, he's riding high with confidence right now, the last thing I want to see is Sedinery putting three or four past him. The Flames really need points though. It's a tough call.

think I mentioned this in another thread, but this is only the 2nd time the Nucks get a team who had played the night before. And both times, it has been Calgary. This time at least it makes up for the Nucks tiring out the Flames' last two opponents for them.


Both meeting so far have been 5-1 Van. let's keep that trend going!

Yes, the picador principal has definitely benefitted the Flames the last two home games (especially last night, the Wings were definitely fatigued).

Darren Pang was going on-and-on about Tanguay's mysterious upper-body injury that kept him out of last night's game against Detroit (as in Brent Sutter wasn't too pleased/questioning Tanguay's commitment)

I actually miss the days when you could hope for a tie between two teams. Nowadays a "tie" is the worst thing that can happen when scoreboard watching because it's guaranteed to hand out 3 points instead of 2.
