We've all commented on it, and now I'm glad DeBoer is acting on our slow starts in these games. He's putting the pressure on the vets to fix that problem.

Matteau on the top line. I kind of feel bad for JJ. I feel like the guy has looked much better this season and is playing relatively well but keeps getting stuck with lesser players. I guess it's a good problem to have.

im glad moose gets the start. imo its kinda a tough spot to start him for his first game in 6 months but hey im not the coach.

boston is going to play physical BUUUUUUUUUUT did play last night in carolina. hopefully they got lucky on catch them flat footed

After looking at that lineup, yea JJ got snubbed.... IMO.

damn, we'll see what Anderson can do but JJ should get more "offensive" looks with youthful guy around him.... idk, i haven't paid attn to barch and Anderson is a newb.... we'll see.

Weak goal ties it. Damn Hedberg was playing unbelievable up until that point. I think it was a bad line change as well that led to it. We should be winning this game.

Our play in our own end was pretty terrible in this game, and has been one of our bigger problems in my opinion this year. Too many lazy clearing attempts, tossing the puck to nobody in particular and just coughing it up to whoever is at the point.

The feel good vibe is quickly leaving this team.

Pp can't put the game away again. Missing Zach def cost us a point tonight in the shootout

That's a game we really should've had. We gave up toward the end, the shootout did not look pretty for us. Oh, and apparently you can trip guys in shootouts, just dive at their legs if you're the goalie.

Heard the first goal was a weak one, and that shootout was a pretty much the same way he lost one for us last year too

If Norton got full power behind that goal it wouldve found Moose's chest and most likely we escape with a 1-0 win. He was that on tonight which makes me feel good about our goaltending situation again this season. No rust was a big positive against a really good offense.

And were really a post shot away from winning. Plus Zajac is good enough as a 3rd shooter for us to steal some extra points.

We do need some more scoring though..from somewhere.

Someone tell my why Gionta didnt get a shot before Josy and Zid? He is way more of a shooter than either of those guys....

Also, the only thing scary about Boston tonight was how physical they were.... they were really hitting us around tonight and I didnt see much hitting from us... we were getting thrown around, yet we had a shutout up until 4 minutes left. Whats sad is that goal they scored was just lazy on our part... they watched the whole play develope from Bostons end and did nothing... even Kovy on the backcheck wasnt skating hard on it...although I though he played great tonight... Still with all his ice time AGAIN there is no need for him to play penalty kill so they gotta stop that.... Bad enough he is a full 2 minutes on every powerplay..... All in all, I am glad we got at least one point.... should have been 2 and a shutout... cant stop playing like they did in the last 4 minutes.....

Yeah, with Zach, we very likely win that shootout. Of course Elias missed a golden opportunity off the post when he had him beat.

Could've also used Teds in the shootout, thank god we called Matt Anderson up just in time for our first shootout instead.

Clarkson is doing a damn fine job of stepping up & providing some "O". 4G & 3A in 5 games....
