Bo's "Us Against the World" mentality probably gets NU past this one.

My early guess is Scheelhouse? has a 200 yrd passing day but is intercepted 3 times and Huskers win 35-21

Yeah. Things will be temporarily simplified for the defense.

The Huskers need to have a bit of success first before their next defensive collapse.

Illinois defensive #s look pretty good. I'm surprised Nebraska is favored by 10 1/2.

Compared to Nebraska sure they look good.

Still, Illinois is a porous defense.

Total Yards 432 per game
Rush Defense 160.5 per game
Pass Defense 271.5 per game

Nebraska should be able to put 40+ on Illinois

Nebraska 42
Illinois 31

If Nebraska does not put up 40+ we might as well hire Lane Kiffin so we can blame him and then fire him.

Who is starting? Kellogg/Armstrong we win easily through a balanced pass/run attack. Tmart they stack the box and we are in for a fight

A 23 mph NW wind should favor a rushing team like Nebraska. If Illinois stuffs the box and takes away the dink&dunk 1-10 yd between the hash marks passing game, it could be a long day for Taylor.

If Illinois has to rely on passing I could see some Husker picks.

My guess would be Taylor. "He'll be fine, he's our QB".

The weekly presser is at 11:00am Central today.

More like 11:30 for Bo. First up will be Cook for volleyball.

LOL @ Bo for highlighting attention to detail 'now'. What about 2010, 2011, 2012 and Jan - Aug 2013?

He doesn't sound too good in light of USC and Uconn firing their head coaches mid season. The ice has been broken.

Taylor still not 100% or practicing w/ the team.. Just doing throwing.

Taylor still not 100% better. Bo leaning to TA over RK3 but still might split game like SDST

The questions were all softballs with the exception of one where he was asked about NDSU stuffing SDSU's rushing game.

Bo answered (somewhat aggitated) along the lines of...I don't know, I don't pay any attention to that stuff.

I just listened to Bo's presser.......

I'm pretty much convinced that we are fucked against Illinois. He just sounds like a guy right now who is trying to make excuses in a round-about way for his Defense.

He says they're standing out there looking in the wrong places..........

Personally, I don't buy into that. I remember last year against Ohio State where we had guys in the right place nearly every single play, but their technique was so awful that Braxton Miller ended up making them look like cheerleaders.

I saw one play in particular the other day where P.J. Smith came up and filled the hole, but he sat back and gave Braxton about 5 yards to decide what he wanted to do........

1 second later P.J. Smith was laying on the ground to the left and Braxton Miller was running in the open to the right.

I agree with you. Bo doesn't sound like Bo. He sounds like someone trying to tell people what they need to hear.

I think the two firings from last weekend got him shook up. He realizes he should have made some off-season changes but it's a bit too late.

I don't think he wants to play Taylor (healthy or not) this weekend either, He just doesn't want to come out with it yet.
