What games would you say is the game of each week of the season?

Here is mine

Week 1: IND at DEN - SNF - There are 2 games that stand out. Thursday's game of GB at SEA is very close, but I have a feeling IND at DEN has a rivalry feeling to it.
Week 2: KC at DEN - 4:25 - I think this is the only one that stands out this week
Week 3: DEN at SEA - 4:25 - I feel like I am taking a risk here. I don't think anybody but Tom Brady fans finished watching that game, including SEA fans. There are a few good games this week.
Week 4: NE at KC - MNF - I switched between this and GB at CHI a few times. NE was in the AFC Champ game and KC was one of the better teams last season.
Week 5: KC at SF - 4:25 - If both teams are undefeated (especially KC with a tougher start), this could be a really good game.
Week 6: SF at STL - MNF - Not a real exciting week IMO. If HOU from 2 years ago plays, IND at HOU can be the GOTW
Week 7: SF at DEN - SNF - I find this to be a great week for football.
Week 8: GB at NO - SNF - There are a few that are awesome games. STL at KC could be good, SEA at CAR will be scrambling QB showdown. I think GB at NO will be a fun game to watch.
Week 9: DEN at NE - 4:25 - Manning vs Brady rivalry. NO-CAR will be good, Other than that, not too exciting of a week.
Week 10: SF at NO - 1:00 - I feel there is a lil playoff rivalry here. That, and it's not too exciting of a week. CAR at PHI could be good depending on how good PHI is
Week 11: SEA at KC - 1:00 - This is a tough one with NE at IND also looking good, but these teams have tough games before this. Which ever game has the teams with better records should be GOTW.
Week 12: BAL at NO - MNF - Not a good week overall. DET at NE could be good.
Week 13: SEA at SF - Thursday NF - Sunday 1:00 looks disappointing, but other than that, it looks to be a great week. ARI@ATL, NE@GB, DEN@KC
Week 14: CAR at NO - 1:00 - Kind of a disappointing week. KC at ARI came close.
Week 15: SF at SEA - 4:25 - This one stands out this week. Not that great of a week. This is also starting to become a hot rivalry, and those not fans of either team will agree as well.
Week 16: DEN at CIN - MNF - Could very well be a game for home field advantage.
Week 17: DET at GB - 1:00 - All games are divisional games. This is the only one I honestly see being for a divisional title.

Nice, I haven't studied the match ups week to week, but it sounds about right.

If I could have 17 polls in one thread (disable comments, each post by me would be a poll), I wouldn't mind doing the work of putting them up. But there's no way I would start 17 new threads, even spread apart across the off-season.

No, I wouldn't do it for this, but rather a prediction thread. Polls are easier than tallying things up and less work for the poll-takers than write-ins.

Probably a little too much confidence in the Chiefs to be a good team this year in my opinion as they had some very nice breaks fall their way last season and I see them being more of an 8-8 team than an 11-5 team.

Games I would maybe see as bigger than the ones listed...Instead of the NE vs. KC game I would take Chicago/Green Bay as you said you debated that one but also that of Philly/San Fran. Also week 11 I would pick the Indy/NE game over the Chiefs/Seattle game as I think it will have more playoff position on the line at that point in the season. Philly/Green Bay looks like another that could be a pretty darn good game. Most likely those 2 teams have 2 of the top 5 offenses in the NFL so that game could turn into a major shoot out in a hurry.

That is a good point that I didn't think about for a few weeks later. I will agree with that.

Wait, you don't think Seattle fans finished watching the Seahawks completely dominate and win their first ever Super Bowl? Seriously?

9-7 wouldn't be anything to be upset about with this schedule. Just hoping some guys that were supposed to develop by now... develop.

I'll give this a go but I'm a total homer here

Week 1: Indy at Denver. Denver has a brutal schedule this year while Indy has a pretty light one. This week one match up may very well be the deciding factor in who gets HFA in the AFC
Week 2: Pitt at Baltimore. In an otherwise blah weekend matchup-wise, this game is an easy choice for me. The AFCN may very well be a four team battle heading into December (so long as Gordon isn't suspended for the year).
Week 3: Denver at Seattle. Need I say more . . .?
Week 4: Green Bay at Chicago. Old school rivalry here. This will be GB's 3rd road game in the first four weeks and this game will set the pace for what should be a hard fought battle for the division.
Week 5: Cinci at NE. This has playoff implications with both teams being playoff worthy and these games may just decide seeding tiebreakers.
Week 6: Wash at Ari. Both of these teams are full of potential and either one is completely capable of making the playoffs. These two teams may very well be the last one in and first one out.
Week 7: SF at Denver. With Denver already having played Seattle, this game will be doubly important for SF. If Seattle falters in week 4 then this is a great game for SF to get a one-up on their main competition and should give SF the tiebreaker in SOV if it comes to that. But if Seattle wins (and we all know they will) then a loss for SF here could spell disaster and send the SF SportsHoopla board into a tizzy.
Week 8: GB at NO. This game could very well decide HFA in the NFC. I think NO may have a fairly easy schedule this season and GB may be in the same boat. Losses will be hard to come by for both of these teams.
Week 9: Denver at NE. Peyton vs. Brady, round 34 I think?
Week 10: SF at NO. As a seahawks fan, I'm not sure which team I would want to lose more. Well who are we kidding, of course I know.
Week 11: Buf at Miami. I could have gone NE at Indy or Cinci at NO but these are two teams that don't get a lot of love, or national attention (I can't remember the last time I saw either play). This is a Thursday Night match up against two fairly even teams. As a true fan of the game, these games are awesome to watch.
Week 12: Arizona vs. Seattle. Seattle's only home loss (including pre and postseason) in 2 years. And its on my birthday! I will definitely be attending this game. You better believe that the team has this game circled.
Week 13: Seattle at SF. A mere four days after playing Ari, Seattle travels to SF for round one. This is going to be a draining game. Fingers crossed for no injuries. But it probably won't end well for the Seahawks.
Week 14: Car at NO. If Car didn't take too much of a step back this offseason this game could decide the division. Even if they have taken a step back, this game might be a last stand to keep themselves in the hunt for the division and the playoffs.
Week 15: SF at Sea. Round 2 and likely the nail in the coffin for the loser.
Week 16: Philly at Was. This may decide the NFCE.
Week 17: NYJ at Miami. This may very well be a win-and-in game for either team.

Got to disagree with your week 11 game of the week. Give me NE at Indy, if not that Cinn. at NO. Please don't give me Buff at Miami.

If the game was at NE, then I would agree. I just don't see this game turning out to be what it will be built up to be

Why is that? At this early point in time, who got to think Pats are favored, so at Indy, makes it better.

I think Indy is the better team. Neither team should have much trouble winning their divisions either. I just see this as being a completely predictable game with not much on the line. Both win their divisions, and Indy will be in the hunt for HFA with Denver and NE will ultimately be locked into the 3 seed, with the survivor of the AFC taking #4.

Well I hope your right, not much of a fan of the Pats, but last year the Pats were the better team. I'd love to watch this game, if the Colts kick the Pats asses, even better.
