What would happen if Todd had Thornton flanked with crap wingers? Say TJ and Mitchell. Would Hitchcock still deploy the Backes line + Pietrangelo pairing to defend Thornton? That way Thornton can serve as decoy and Marleau and Pavs can play against other lines.

I just know for the last 5 games of the season i noticed he is avoiding any contact on the right side of his body, he is turning away from it every chance he gets.

We saw the crowd knock Jimmy Howard off his game last year. Hopefully the fans are as into it this tine around. Judging from the footage I've seen around the Arena, raucous fans shouldn't be a problem.
