None of those guys have pitched better than Jimenez when the games count. But, he does need to show he can pitch against the AL East. He got rocked in his one start against Boston last year.prove to us why we paid you so much . so far britton , gausman ,gamboa and matusz have all pitched better than you . let's go o's in first place with the rays and Yankees both losing .![]()

1 outing does not make a pitcher. We are playing the World Champion Red Sox. A little offense today would be nice to support him. Boston will make Jimenez work to get them out. The O's could take a great lesson from the Sox this series as they work the count, fight off pitches and make productive outs up and down their lineup. We seem to have the opposite approach to hitting.
Go O's!
Britton and Matusz have been given an honest chance for several years. That's why they are now in the bullpen. Gamboa is a 29 year old minor leaguer. He's not a MLB pitcher. Gausman needs more experience before he can have a major impact.you must be talking about last year . the years before 2011 and 2012 any of them could do that good given an honest chance . Ubaldo Jimenez Stats - Baltimore Orioles - ESPN I just hope he puts up another 3.30 era and not the mid 4 and 5 era . I would![]()
It's more than one outing. He just happened to only face Boston once last year. His career numbers against the Red Sox have been horrible. They are bad against the Yankees, also.1 outing does not make a pitcher. We are playing the World Champion Red Sox. A little offense today would be nice to support him. Boston will make Jimenez work to get them out. The O's could take a great lesson from the Sox this series as they work the count, fight off pitches and make productive outs up and down their lineup. Britton has been given plenty of chances. Outside of the first half of his rookie year, he hasn't done anything. If he pitches well out of the bullpen, he may get a chance to start. He has to earn that first by pitching well. How many chances did Hammel get? Outside of maybe the first two months he was with the O's, he stunk. That's why he isn't here anymore. I'm not sure why you brought Chen up. He has been pretty solid for the team.britton hasn't been given the chances lets say a hammel , chen and others have been and paid millions of dollars . gamboa is a knuckleballer that kills a teams timing 90 mph fastball . gausman does need to build his innings up . matusz is a bp arm . none are big pay checks . this drives up the price on tilly what they have paid ubaldo . I want ubaldo to earn it not like the lackey has !!!! btw the 4 have worked hard and earned a shot as an oriole . I don't care if it is britton I don't want a 5 era from any starter being paid millions or not .
Don't like Lough behind Markakis and Lough's first AB ruined an inning for sure. AJ picking right up where he left off as well. This could be a night of futility at the plate for our O's.
man this strikezone is a mile wide tonight . ubaldo stuff looks so hitable .
Jimenez doesn't throw many 1st pitch strikes, geeezzz...
