Where's Shaw!?!? Yes, I realize he is slashing .192/.288/.288 in September. That's bad. But since September 15th, he's been hitting .281/.378/.344. But he is 0 for his last 8 so he gets to not play at all.

Yet consider the rest of the outfield production in September:
Blanco - .175/.221/.254
Hanson - .188/.204/.375
Hernandez - .167/.225/.318
Pence - .254/.267/.424
Slater - .194/.242/.226

So how does benching Shaw to end the season help in any way?

Nothing to see here . . . other than will Bochy let Shaw bat one more time? Makes no sense why he's gotten all of 1 at bat so far this series. I mean, I know the whole line up that Bochy keeps trotting out there rivals the Yankees and all . . .

I get giving Pence all the play he can handle. Especially at home. That makes sense.

But why give Blanco the same treatment? He is NOT Hunter Pence.

Plus, Pence has the best numbers among all outfielders this month. No one deserves to play from that group but since Bochy has to put three names on the lineup for outfielders, Pence is the most deserving of the bunch, outside of what he's done for the org up to this year. Blanco just shows how Bochy still has trouble playing the kids if either he isn't forced to do so or if the rookie isn't lighting the world on fire.
