Have to disagree. First we need another TE. Also there are many other positions we dont need. We could live with our CBs. Notice teams have not been able to throe anything but short passes now. We could use a vet at CB though. Maybe if Okudah is done also.

Before you get another TE, you need someone that's capable of getting him the ball and that shouldn't be a part of the equation for 2022 draft, but I get your point.

I also think we are okay in the CB department for a year - maybe

What are the many other positions that we don't need ?
I already stated not needing starters at LT, C, RT, TE, RB, NT and MLB

The last two QBs we’ve played against are not good.

Definition of Starters: Starters for ANY team in the NFL, not a backup player or bench warmer outside of Detroit.

I hope Goff is out for 4 weeks.
I'm not wishing or liking him being injured but want to see what Boyle can do for more than 1 game
I saw enough, I dislike Blough but I’d make the change to him.

The first section covers Boyle. Highlight include a record for fewest yards ever with 15 completions, more picks than touchdowns in college, and after transferring to EKU for easier competition....still threw more picks than touchdowns

Yep. Agree.

The alleged shine and hype from Holmes regarding Boyle wore off quickly.

He looked like a scared, true frosh walk-on CFB QB and yet that would be a slight towards most of them.

The dude has been able to legally drink for 44 days, the fact that he is excelling at oline so young is extremely promising. It was only one play, but he pushed Aaron Donald back so far that Donald lost his temper when we played the Rams. That is extreme power. Just think how physically dominant he could be at 25. I love that dude. We have a real issue coming up with Decker, unless one of them is willing to go Willie Anderson/Mitchell Schwartz route and forgo LT glory.

Also I reference can drink at 21 a lot with him, but as a Mormon does he even drink?

I think the earliest we may have to worry about this coming into play is more apt to be in 2023 or 2024.
I believe Decker's last contract year is in 2024, correct ?

I wasn't aware he is Mormon
Pretty common for Polynesians to be Mormon. Book of Mormon contains a ship builder named Hagoth that many Mormons thins is a direct ancestor for many Polynesians. The tie in make Mormons the only Christian religion with a direct link to them, so they have a pretty strong following in the demographic.

At least we have a very good Punter for now.
He needs to be re-signed before the end of the year, imo.

No punter has ever been better over the first 100 attempts than what Fox has done for Detroit since the beginning of the 2020 season.

When he launched his 100th career punt in Sunday’s 13-10 loss to the Cleveland Browns, Fox broke records for both gross yards per punt and net yards per punt over the first 100 punts in a career. Fox has averaged 49.0 gross yards and 43.9 net yards, each of which is the best in NFL history through 100 punts.

LOL. Just said he was the best in the other thread. 44 net yards is just filthy sick.

He was slightly better last year.
He's had to punt a handful of times this year in tighter quarters also - meaning inside the opponents 45-yard line

If you ever want a way too deep dive into punting, the redditor EricTaylorsEyebrows is a fascinating read. I linked week 10 breakdown(11 is not out yet). Fox looks lower because he had a down week last week, but he has a higher than expected average on punts 68% of the time, which is second best in the league, and the only guy better is Mann that has only punted in 2 games this year. He was actually 86% greater than expected going into the steelers game, but had 8 of 10 count negative in a single week.

PFF took a shine to the Lions toughness, run game and blocking. RB D’Andre Swift earned the top grade at 83.1 overall, a figure bolstered by an 86.1 run grade.

The rest of the top-graded Lions from Week 11:

  • RT Penei Sewell – 81.1
  • WR Amon-Ra St Brown – 75.3
  • TE Brock Wright – 71.3
  • C Evan Brown – 69.6
  • TE T.J. Hockenson – 69.4
They all graded out better than the top defensive player, LB Jalen Reeves-Maybin, who earned a 68.6 overall grade.

At the other end of the spectrum, these were the five lowest-graded Lions:

  • LB Alex Anzalone – 29.0
  • LB Derrick Barnes – 29.7
  • S Tracy Walker – 38.0
  • CB Amani Oruwariye – 43.8
  • QB Tim Boyle – 44.6
