As per MLB Nerwork.
Please God noGiants rumors have already started...
I thought that was self explanatory, but let me clarify. I hope the Phillies make a move for Maddon now and he accepts their offer because I feel he is a good manager and I would like to see him manage the Phillies, which is my favorite team. Why?
Bwah...Schilling is interested

I hoping this is one of those "rare" times the Cubs made a mistake. The Cubs didn't want him.
I might be in the minority but I think the narrative that Kapler is some awful manager is totally overblown. He made some really bad blunders his first few games managing last year (which was his first year managing ever) and all the lazy broadcasters have just run with it as if he wasn't ever going to improve. They have one starting pitcher who can consistently make it through the 5th inning. They spent the last couple months of the season with Drew Smyly and a guy they got from the Mets for a 25 year old AA catcher firmly entrenched in their rotation. Put Buck Showalter or Dusty Baker in that same situation and I doubt you get any better results.
I do like Maddon though
I mostly agree but there was a game this year where his last pitcher available was on 2nd base and he pinch ran for him. lol, I missed that one but in general I didn't have a problem with him. He did some things that probably went against old school customs but you could usually see a reason for it. Like that Dodgers series where they gave up a million runs in the first game and he brought in a position player to pitch when he really didn't have to so the Dodgers wouldn't see their "good" bullpen guys until the next day.I mostly agree but there was a game this year where his last pitcher available was on 2nd base and he pinch ran for him.
