Don't be a jabroni.
Game day again and the last RS game, nutty how fast the season went by. 6pm.start on FDS SoCal and I also believe just standard FDS. Will most likely miss most of this, Ms Puck II turned 16 today so I'm taking 6 kids to BJs to celebrate her birthday dinner.
Today is also Oxilator's 11th celebration of life. Going to tip one to him later tonight after we get back home, although with these screaming kids I'll probably want like 5 at dinner. Ox would disapprove.
=)~~
Not much to say on the Kings front, no lineup changes expected and Forsberg to start. Glass Boy is available as is Moverare but I don't expect either of them in. Disc Jockey is going to roll with what has been working.
Playoff seeding on the line tonight, my gut tells me Anaheim, Edmo and LA will win so the standings don't change and LA welcomes Colorado to open up. On the one hand I'm happy it's not Edmonton for the fifth year in a row because losing or not I'm just sick of seeing them year after year, on the other the Kings drew the heavyweight of the NHL.
But you reap what you sow and your 74000 loser points earned you this date, maybe in the offseason after personnel changes are made an attitude change can be made too to where the goal is play for regulation, win or lose.
The Kings may be a PO bound team but they Hillered their way in with the OTLs. By comparison, the Sens are WC2 in the EC with 99 points, none of the PD teams would have even qualified for the POs including Vegas winning the division at 95 points. So thank the HGs for LA gaining loser points to even qualify because this team certainly did not deserve to be in. Arguably the worst Kings PO team since like 2010.
Calgary will try and play spoiler, they really have nothing to play for. But that building has not been nice to LA but I hope they don't mail it in.
Magic 8 Ball says: It Shall Be. Buster with his final 2 point night against yet again a subpar team but he's Arrived.
Lastly, and this is for everyone on this board, thanks for letting me make GDTs for another year. As always it's been fun, I actually look back during the offseason at these threads and crack up, so many great comments and zingers. We are a loony bunch but I wouldnt have it any other way.
Let's Go Kings!
