Needs 3 dmen and DD8 needs to be 4-6...none of that gonna happen, need 1 and 2 Cs too...unfortunately we are going to have to see them "going for it" another season at least

I have a question. I have heard that DD8 pretty much demands to be #1 D and demands the most ice time of the D core. Has anyone else heard that? I find it weird thathe can demand such a thing. At this point in his career, he should be dropped down as you mentioned.

I suppose he can demand what he wants like Dunno did....was stupid to agree to those demands as we know with PLG never getting a real chance and now DD8 getting worked all that time. Rock and a hard place as you dont want star players (even aging one) to bash your organization for lying if you agreed to the play time.

He's a D3 at best nowadays but still gets played like a D1.

Have read he dictates a lot of what goes on in terms of TOI, player acquisitions, etc but I'm not sure how much of it I believe.

I don't even think he would need to demand it. Who would get that ice time over him? The Kings defensemen is their true weakness.
