Don't be a jabroni.
Game day again, 6pm start on FDS. Should be able to catch this one entirely.
Kuemper most likely to start, no real line up changes expected although during line rushes today Ward was in place of Kempe as RW1 which means Kempe’s foot/ankle injury is still bothering him although he played against Utah on Sunday. He stayed off the ice this morning.
Glass Boy is out again, I think he is finally traded this summer, anything would be addition by subtraction but I'm expecting a third round pick at best.
Man did the Kings get bamboozled on this pick, he rode the coattails of Boldy and Caufield on that USNDT roster. The crazy part is both of those guys were available when the Kings picked Turcotte at 5OA although it would have been a little off the board as they went 12th and 15th respectively.
Joseph will remain in the line up in his place:
10 11 52/9
12 55 14
17 21 53
39 79 40
Surprised to see Armia on L4 but again he is versatile and can be moved up and down as needed. I think missing 10 games he looked a little rusty the last two games in his return so maybe they are managing his minutes to get him to game speed but with 11 games left and fighting for the POs I don't see why, let him loose.
I think Moverare should play in place of Peepee who after at least not screwing up as much as he was foe some time has been a complete train wreck the last several games. He can play RD too as he played there last season when Doughty was still out with the ankle injury. He couldn't be worse, that's for sure at RD3.
I said if the Kings lose to Utah on Sunday the bottom will fall out the rest of the season and I believe that. The Kings were in "must win" mode coming out of the Olympic break and have essentially failed at every turn, giving up multiple goals in third periods or not being able to get one of their own to win in regulation or sending every freaking game to OT. That is not a PO winning caliber team or formula.
The 17 loser points leads the NHL and when the season is over we can look to all those as to a big reason why they failed and maybe have Holly look closer at this roster construction. It is not built well at all; there are some talented players but not the right players.
Calgary's season is done as well but they are on a four game win streak. I'm expecting Wolf to start, he is a good goalie and has given the Kings problems. They have players auditioning as well so I don't see them laying off the gas, plus LA struggles in this building for whatever reason - lost 6 in a row here and 9 of the last 10. Almost feels like Dallas owning LA in the mid to late 1990s.
Regardless, as fans we should just enjoy whatever season we have left and look forward to the POs (for other teams), the draft and FA because after that comes the dog days of summer.
Although it will be slightly shorter this summer since the NHL axed two preseason games and made the season 84 games starting next season as it was so many years ago so the season should start in late September if my math is right.

OT: being G71, I found this song Z71 shuffling through Amazon Music late last year. Pretty cool tune if you're a partial hillbilly like me and love trucks and loud motors.
Never owned a Z71 but did own a 1993 Chevy K2500 4x4 that was easily my favorite truck in the 90s. I hated having to trade that in.
