Game Thread: G6 1-3-1 Kings vs Canes 10/18/25

Game day, 6pm start on FDS. I'll miss this one, going to dinner at Dantana and then the Troubador in Hollyweird to see Pecos and The Rooftops at 7pm. Found them last year, pretty good stuff and my first visit to the Troubador. Heard it's a great venue.

Kuemper skated today with the Kings but not sure if he will play, looks like Forsberg will go again with Copley backing up. I'm sure he wants to redeem himself for Thursday, that showing was awful. Interesting thing is he is making the high danger saves but giving up the softies. Personally I'd rather have Rittich back but here we are. Hope he rebounds.

Some changes going on up front, looks like Laferriere is moving to 1C and Glass Boy is moving to RW4 with Helenius checking in at 4C. Kopitar has now been moved to W2W instead of D2D and it's a foot injury. Weird to see him out, dude never seems to miss games and this is an absolute preview of post life Kopitar. Defense pairings will stay the same, I was actually somewhat OK with Dummy pairing with Doughty. Dude has better wheels than I thought and played a good game. Let's just hope Peepee doesn't crap the bed.

Canes coming in as the only undefeated team left in the league at 4-0, they are solid. This will not be an easy game, and keep an eye on Necas. He has 9 points already, wish our Kings picks were that good. Hopefully the Kings give them a challenge, they seem to beat Carolina when the deck is stacked against them.

Prediction: Kings win 3-1, goals by Dexter and Glass Boy and an EN by Armia. Forsberg redeems himself for that horrific showing Thursday and all is well in Kings Land for a few days. Buster MIA again, he is feast or famine and Peepee pees himself on the bench.

Canes got a ton of firepower....Necas isnt one of them anymore, went to Avs in the failed Rantanen deal....they ended up with Stankoven tho, hes a gamer

2-0 Canes already midway through 1st...I still cant watch which is fine with Kopi out he was only reason I was gonna watch at all this season.

Doubt LA comes back, I think they cooked. But you still gotta play the whole game so anything is possible...maybe LA will be rested by the 3rd

They like getting points they shouldnt. Sure they are all earned I guess....fortunately not 0-5....tho, a lotto pick would be nice

Didn't catch the game. Seeing highlights (Lowlights?) now. Bad start obviously with 2-0 4 minutes into the game. Showed some heart to come back.

Highlights made it seem like Forsberg had so make a bunch of saves to keep it close, which means defense still stinking up the joint. Kings have given up 24 goals in 6 games, which is so bad. Easy math at 4 per game. Not going to score 5 goals most nights, so we'll see if that gets cleaned up.

I'm sure we're all in the same boat. Hope they turn it around and get going, OR just never win another game, and blow this thing up. Let Kempe be free of this sh*tshow, and start seeing what draft capital you can get for guys. And hopefully absolutely clean house on management.

I see another Kings classic game, having to come back from behind. Also not sure why I thought Necas was still with the Canes.
