Don't be a jabroni.
Game day again, 4pm start on FDS. Started a pot roast in the crock pot this morning, should be done about 6pm. Some mashed potatoes and I should be in a food coma by the time the game ends unless the Kings play puts me to sleep anyway.
Biggest news as mentioned in the Season Thread, no Dunno tonight again due to illness. I don't buy it, he is being held out for a trade. My guess is we will see something tomorrow. I couldn't tell if he traveled with the team but something tells me he is home in LA awaiting a move.
Buster is back in the lineup and back at his normal position, interesting he was sick too but only missed one game, makes me think even more that Dunno is getting traded but illness affects everyone different so who knows. Thus the line up has changed and the Kings will roll with:
14 11 9
22 55 37
96 15 12
40 79 10
Defense will stay the same, Moverare available in case he needs to go in as well as Malott. Dexter bumped up to RW2 switching with TOTM as RW3. With Kuemper hurt Forsberg to start and Copley backing up after being recalled. I expect to see him tomorrow against Tampa who claimed him earlier this season for a hot minute and traded him back to LA for nothing when their goalie injury situation fixed itself.
The Kings PP has fallen to 31st in the league (14.3%), that is awful. Not only is that one of the worst PPs in Kings history, it's the 12th worst to date in LEAGUE history. This is concerning because Florida is a fast, physical team and if penalties are called the impotent PP will not matter.
This is also concerning because the Panthers could take liberties with the Kings, as the world saw you can run someone, especially someone important, and there will be no repercussions. The Kings PK ranks 17th at 80%. Broken record but some guys absolutely need to start scoring, the PP and the PK have lost games for LA. Every goal matters.
The Panthers are on a heater, winning 5nof their last 6 including wins over Dallas (who bitch slapped LA 4-1 last game) and Tampa. They rank 10th on offense, 17th on the PP and 7th on the PK.
They have solid depth with 5 players already having 10+ goals. 38 year old Marchand leads them with 19 goals, that's unreal at his age and he's still a world class agitator. They also have Reinhart, Lundell, Bennett and Verhaeghe scoring goals. Tarasov to start tonight, I've noticed teams are putting their back ups in against LA because they know they can't score and padding their stats.
This team is a complete mess, and I did not have a good feeling about this trip and that Dallas game set the tone negatively in more ways than one. Prediction, Kings lose again 5-2. Kings goals by Buster and Dexter.
And I swear to god if Bennett runs Forsberg someone better pummel him after that disgusting non response to the Kuemper hit. Take the penalty, major, give up goals, whatever. Embarrassing.
Let's Go Kings!
