Game day again, 5pm start on FDS. Sick as a dog so I'm laying my ass on the couch and watching this, fend for yourself for dinner kids - pops is sick.

As we know both Buster and Dunno out and while it's not good they're sick I think it's great they aren't in the lineup. They have been anchors all season long and not playing may do them some good. A whopping 4 goals between your 2C and 3C is not acceptable any way you cut it.

I was wondering if Jill would run 11/7 or bring Kuzmenko back in and he did the latter. As I suspected Laferriere will be playing C tonight and he's actually a good center unlike another Arrival the Kings have:

Glass Boy got two promotions in 2 days from 4C to 3C to now 2C, still want to see what warrants this guy's props. Now you're elevated even higher, make something happen. Jill putting The Brand Line back together, let's see if Kuzmenko takes his job a little more seriously after being scratched (rightfully so) for a few games. Defense will stay the same and Kuemper back in net.

On the Dallas front, they've dropped two in a row to Minnesota and Florida so they're looking to get back on track. Seguin is out but Rantaanen, Benn, Johnston, Robertson and Hintz all in. Rantaanen has the same number of goals as all four Kings centers combined, Robertson is at 20 goals. Of course they'll continually make the connection of him being from Arcadia, over that as I am hearing Moore is from Thousand Oaks. I was also born in England, who TF cares? DeSmith to start.

Dallas plays a very aggressive style of play, lot of forechecking and they are net drivers. They should be when you have big bodies like they do :::cough cough Byfield cough cough:::. Benn is old but that dude still plays a mean game and doesn't tolerate gruff, he also isn't afraid to knock you into next week and then fight whoever comes after him. Always felt the Kings should have traded for him in his prime someway somehow. Also one of the few guys left grandfathered in for no visors prior to 2013, Reaves is another one.

Dallas tends to put 4-5 goals up on LA every game although Kempe won it in OT 3-2 last game out in October. Prediction: Kings lose this one big 4-1, Kings goals by Armia. The heat gets turned up on Jill especially with Tampa and Florida after this game, Buster gets another accidental assist drinking his TheraFlu, the PP looks awful yet again. Holland is forced to make a move but may not with the holiday trade freeze coming up.

Lol stfu man, nobody really cared except Kuemper who is now on IR. Retribution should have been swift. Playing nice, trying to not give a pp or whatever has NEVER worked for LA...im 100% confident if you look back at any game LA cowered and failed to step up for a teammate...they lost, not only the game but team chemistry as well. I dont care if dummy pushed mikko, darcy out of paint....not a penalty, wtf ever happened that the other team knocked out not only your mvp for the season but your #1 net minder....you fu.cking do something....does the outcome of the game change even if LA serves a 5m major? Nope! Would any real LA fan be mad if they lost because they retaliated in that moment? Not me its 1 game showing you wont take anything to your goalie

I was watching Seattle Avs on CI last night, guys like Beniers, Wright, etc all making plays. There is no BS, they get the puck and they want to make something happen and straight up drive pucks to the net.

Wright got a goal from taking the initial shot at left dot, rebound with two other Kraken battling in front, who kept going to the net after his shot and got a goal on the rebound Blackwood couldn't control?

It's so disheartening to see these guys drafted after Buster whether it be the same draft or years later making impacts for their team and basically just doing hockey shit like following up your own shot. Hockey 101 but Buster is dumb AF.

But patience, it's coming. No, it's not. What you see in a player 5-6 years after they are drafted is essentially what they will be.

Been saying this for years but basically about 2-3 years after Blake took over in 2017, the character and culture of this team slowly eroded under his watch.

If that happened to Quick during those teams, Matt Greene, King, Nolan, Regehr, Clifford, Richards, Mitchell, even little Colin Fraser are making you see the dentist mid game. They were united and didn't tolerate squat.

Brown decleats Sedin in the POs, their captain best player and even that wuss Vancouver team had something to say about it even though it was a clean hit.

This just let it happen and walk away BS is maddening. Has been for years.

While I hate "every" good hit resulting in a fight, I do think there are some that absolutely need to be addressed...we have even discussed Brown not answering for some of his hits....tho legal they absolutely warrant a response that "team aint taking that shit"

Brown had a lot of good clean hits over his career. He really slowed down on them his last several years here though.

What I didn't like about him was his diving, and believe me he did it, and some of those "who me?" hits like Rozsival as the whistle blew at the red line in that 2012 Phoenix series.

That was straight up timing and acting but it incensed the Coyotes who completely unraveled especially Smith in OT. Penner scores and boom, SCF here come the Kings. Will never forget Smith swinging his stick at Richards and how angry they were in the handshake line.

But Shane Doan made a career of the "who me?" hits so it was fitting to see their season fall apart on the exact same type of hit. Gold.
