Don't be a jabroni.
Game day again, 6pm on FDS, KCAL and SLVR (Samsung Live TV). Won't be watching this one, headed to the drive in with the kids to watch Zootopia 2. The first one came out in 2016 I believe and we all loved it, pretty cool to see the kids now adults and teens still wanting to watch the sequel. We will be going to the Van Buren Drive In which is an absolute shit hole but that's basically the only one around nowadays. The best was Mission Tiki in Pomona but they closed down permanently in 2023 for an Amazon distribution center I believe.
Going to grab some pizzas from Costco, load up chairs, blankets and a cooler and off we go. It's a double showing at 730pm so we will watch the first one and head home, I can catch the replay later tonight.
Not much to say about either team on this one since they just played Thursday but Jill changing the lineup yet again to basically how the team finished on Thursday:
14 11 9
22 55 40
37 24 12
96 15 10
44 8
6 92
2 5
Scratches will be Helenius, Moverare and Malott. Kuemper expected to start.
Kuzmenko, damn. Dude starts the season on L1 and has digressed consistently to L4 having spent time on L2 and L3 as well. He's been given ample opportunity to get it going including PP1 and PP2 time so I can't say I feel sorry for him nor surprised. What is however is Dunno still in the lineup, and after I checked post game stats last game he somehow ended up with 17+ minutes while Kempe got 15+. Da fuq? Jill probably scared to bench a respected veteran who wears an A but that's not what's best for the team. I would scratch Dunno, move Glass Boy to 3C and put Helenius in at 4C.
Dunno didn't sound like a guy who's having off ice issues, he's just not producing per his comments. Dude has scored 8 goals in his last 109 RS games, chew on that for a moment. Can't just be a defensive ace, same goes for Buster as well. A lot of guys but these two in particular and Kuzmenko need to find a way to start putting pucks in the nnet. Not expecting Kuzmenko to get a lot of ice time tonight being on L4 but Jill loves his line blender so I wouldn't be surprised if that changes.
Nothing new on the Hawks, expect the same lineup except for maybe Teravainen who took that shot to the face from Kempe, he will be a GTD but didn't practice or take the ice yesterday and today with the Hawks. Expecting Knight to start again, he played solid.
Prediction: the slump continues, 4-2 Hawks. Kings goals by Dexter and Laferriere. The Dummy Peepee duo continue to shit the bed and the countdown to Jill no longer Kings coach continues.
DeBoer has been floating around as a replacement but Holly shut that down saying that's not true. Robitaille also said McLellan is safe on Jan 24 2024 and a week later he was fired so there's that too.
Let's Go Kings!
