Call me crazy but I think playing in the G league will hurt a lot of 18 yr olds draft stock. Too much talent in G league compared to college for kids that young

It'll only hurt the stock of the lesser tiered players. The alternative to the 1 and done is that most of these players were going to go pro after a year anyways. If they're that talented, it should still shine against better talent. It'll obviously be to a lesser degree, but if a player puts up say 14 and 8 as an 18 year old in the G league, I think GM's will be smart enough to see the upside there against better talent. It'll kind of equate to teams viewing young players playing in Euro leagues. They factor in the talent level of those leagues too.

I am good with this. It gives young men a choice. I however doubt there will be many that take this route. For the guys that come economically challenged families, I could see them going the G-league route instead of college. But for the highly rated prospect, doing so likely hurts their "brand. Shoe & apparel companies won't be looking to sign G-league players, they will be looking to sign guys who played at big named colleges, guys who have national recognition.
