Game Thread: FUDGE PACKER WEEK!!!!!!!! Finally a reason to start a game thread.

Well, news is out.

Apparently the team doctors were told to tell Matt Nagy that Justin Fields had cracked ribs. I always thought the cracked description was a little............cracked, but apparently it was the only way for them to be sure Nagy would not play fields in an attempt to save his job. Turns out the ribs were only bruised. So no more worries about punctured lungs from a fracture.

The only bad news is they did not flex the game off of the national telecast and let us watch a good football game Sunday night.

Still a chance someone wipes the smirk off of Rodgers face, I think the fudge are favored by 3 touchdowns.

My point was hoping they would flex a good football game to sunday night. Chiefs Raiders and Cowboys Washington are both early games. I thought NBC had the right to flex games, maybe it starts later or they gave that up, or decided its more valuable to possibly see a drama in the bears finding a way.

Aaron Rodgers said he owns us last game and the Packers are looking legit. No way they were flexing this game. Gonna be 3 hours of "Packers/Rodgers have owned the Bears since the Mesozoic Era" mediot palabra...Oh joy. Every time they pan to Nagy I'm gonna have a small aneurysm in an important body part.

Honestly, this rivalry was better when both teams either suck or are good. The both being good at the same time hasn't happened very often, but it is what it is.

So, what do you believe, not hope but believe will happen first in the near future. The Packers sucking and falling to the Bears level, the Bears raising their level to the Packers or both teams wallowing in mediocrity...which is my guess...

There is more bad news for the bears, even if we do the unthinkable and take out the mouth aaron rodgers, they put Jordan Love on Covid protocols. So the bears will not get a a chance to abuse Love, they will have to deal with Kurt Benkert instead, a guy that has not played football for some 1500 days, but will probably give them a better chance to maintain than Love.
