They did but they struggled.
Gotcha! I guess talent alone won the game?

Gah, you just had to use that dumpy bag of potatoes
And luck. Samford was driving to tie/take the lead and they threw a pick six.Gotcha! I guess talent alone won the game?
Even when they won they lost.
Ehh, Syracuse is definitely not good. Having trouble with Samford was really pathetic.
Did you know that since beating Clemson, Syracuse were 1-6 against FBS opponents before the FSU game? They finished 4-8 last year. They caught lightning in a bottle against a lazy Clemson team that day.I guess they were not good while beating Clemson last year then..
They are not horrible. FSU is horrible
People are crushing Michigan State for playing Utah State close who have gone out and dropped 60 and 73 in their next two games. If you don’t crush the mids or god forbid FCS you are going to take a hit.

FSU didn’t lead at any point in the game until 4:03 left in the fourth.

I usually define it as winning in spite of a shitty coaching job. But tomayto tomahtoIf FSU played a really crappy game, and STILL won by double digits, wouldn't that be a text book example of "talent alone winning a game"? At least that has always been my definition of it.
If their quarterback wasn’t injured, FSU is a top 10 team.

A national championship, a Heisman and a gozillion dollar contract says you have no clue what you are talking about.Fisher was as overrated as they come.
Recruiting took a ‘dip’ to the #6 class last year. Prior to that they had #3,#3, and #4 rated classes.
It’s not talent, it’s not recruiting.
Taggart is a shitty coach. The film room broadcast and Bud Foster’s comments postgame were pretty telling - nothing was disguised, the play calls were obvious, the execution is that of a poorly coached team.
It’s nuts some posters are still trying to claim talent or recruiting as if FSU shouldn’t be expected to compete with Samford or Syracuse. Player development is on the staff.
