Harbaugh and the staff were confident that this was the year they would go undefeated, win the B10, and the national title. Unfortunately COVID and the B10 presidents ruined it.
Harbaugh finally had all the pieces in place, and now we'll just have to wait till next year to see if enough talent comes back to make the run again. Most teams have a REALLY hard time winning back to back championships...so it may take a few years to get Michigan back to what would likely have been a national championship this year.
I'm sure that Clemson, Alabama, and Oklahoma are feeling really good that Michigan isn't going to be around this fall.
