I think your post is premature. If I had to guess, then I would say that his punishment is coming due soon. I would also think that the Chiefs are looking at options to move on without him.

I think it’s more of a bias towards domestic violence than it is towards the Cowboys.

At any rate, the way the NFL hands out suspensions has always been wildly inconsistent.

Millionaire players who skirt the edges of public opinion are more likely to end up with suspensions. Elliott was treated harshly, (for whatever his final offence was deemed to be), but there were plenty of warning incidents beforehand. He's learnt to be more circumspect. Good luck to him.

Jerry has a long history of gambling on prospects with off field troubles, thinking he is getting a bargain.

The bigger problem for Jerry is that he has consistently failed to build a solid roster for decades. His teams are always woefully lacking in depth despite having flashy skill players and good starting offensive lines, and the minute a few guys get hurt, it all falls apart.

Maybe drafting Zeke, a running back, in the top 5 was a bad idea, not his off-field issues?
